SOUTHEND SUCCESS FOR THE U13'S

A rare poor week results wise saw a number of Euro Dagenham sides suffer defeats at the hands of opposition we would normally expect to beat.

The U13's Echo went out of the County Cup to Buckhurst Hill, while both U12's teams lost out in narrow encounters against Rippleway (Echo 1-0), and Hannakins Farm (Chelmsford 2-1).

It wasn't all doom and gloom though as the free scoring U15's made it 19 goals in two games with a 12-0 victory over Stones Athletic, and the U13's Chelmsford side went through to the second round of the Essex Cup with a seaside victory away to Southend based Trinity FC.

ManagerDean Harris's U10's continued their impressive start to the season with both U10's teams recording impressive wins 6-1 aginst Senrab and 4-1 against Great Danes.

The U11 White's remain top of their league with a resounding 5-0 victory at Hannakins Farm, while the U9's Echo came from a goal behind to run out comfortable 4-1 winners against Barkingside Youth.

The final games of the weekend saw defeats for both U8's and the U9's Chelmsford teams against Byron Red Star, Royal Falcons and Risden Youth.

GOALS GALORE

A busy Sunday for the Club saw nine games played at home and a single away leg contested on what was another fantastic haul of results for the top club in Essex.

The highest scorers of the weekend were the U12's Chelmsford side who hit 10 against Thurrock Youth and already look likely title favourites in a display of pace and power. The U11 Whites also helped themselves to a bagful, smashing nine goals past a hapless Great Danes in the first competitive win for new manager Marcus.

Andy Brown's U11 Green's took part in probably the most exciting game of the day coming from 3-1 down to beat Aveley Youth 5-4 showing a great team spirit to come out victorious when other lesser teams might have wilted.

The Clubs senior youth team, the U15's Chelmsford side strolled to a comfortable victory against St. Cleres winning 7-0, while our youngest side the U7 Blue's went one better scoring eight unanswered goals against Tilbury Youth and already look to be following in the long tradition of classy Euro Dagenham teams.

The final victory of the day came for the U9's Echo team who beat Aztec 3-2 coming from two goals down to win through thanks to a late winner from Damary Dawkins.

The final three games of the day saw the U10's Echo draw 3-3 against Ryan in a keenly contested match that was in doubt right up to the end, and two defeats for both the U9's and 10's Chelmsford teams against Ongar Juniors and Hutton respectively.

HIGH FIVES FOR KUFFOUR

On quite start to the league campaign only two Euro Dagenham Echo teams took to the field and both emerged successful scoring a glut of goals in the process.

The U10’s powered to a great victory over EMH, coming from two goals down to win 5-3 thanks to a wonderful array of goals from striker David Kuffour who hit all five stunning goals in an exhibition of ruthless finishing.

Meanwhile manager Stef took his U12’s side away to Leaside Colts and ran out 4-3 in another thriller of a game with a hatrick from Jeremiah and a solo effort from Dante.
